Glasgow-based indie rock band The Fratellis, all sharing the surname Fratelli, emerged in early 2000s with a sound similar to Babyshambles. Their debut album Costello Music (2006) combined glam rock, acoustic elements, and punk, producing UK Top Ten hits "Chelsea Dagger" and "Whistle for the Choir". Subsequent albums include Here We Stand (2008), Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied (2015), and In Your Own Sweet Time (2018).

The Happy Mondays, discovered by Tony Wilson, debuted with 'Forty Five EP' in 1985 and released their first album 'Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile' (White Out) in 1987, produced by John Cale. Their albums 'Bummed' (1988) and 'Pills ’n’ Thrills and Bellyaches' (1990), produced by Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne, went platinum in the UK. In 2022, founder member and bassist Paul Ryder passed away. Mikey Shine replaced him, while Rowetta left in December 2024, Firouzeh Berry joined as backing vocalist in January 2025.
